Using In Person Scanning

CRC spares no expense when it comes to the technology needed to back up your rack. There are numerous scanners on the market that will produce “OK” results. However, that was not good enough for us. We have purchased the top-of-the-line equipment that many would consider “overkill” for the application. Classic Racks Co.’s handheld scanning equipment offers the best results for replica detail and texture. You can rest easy knowing that our scan has captured every little detail that makes your rack unique.

Using Mobile App Scanning

Our mobile app was developed so that everyone has the ability to “insure” their rack. Anything can happen to your animal at any time. Being able to scan with your smartphone enables hunters to back up their rack as soon as the animal is harvested. Users of the mobile app will receive a 3D model of their animal that can be opened, viewed, and shared directly on their phone. While the scan quality of a phone is not as good as a specific handheld scanning device, CRC has a solution for that. The mobile app does a great job of capturing the overall shape and size of the rack, however, it does lack some of the detail. Anytime a replica is ordered from our mobile app scan, CRC manually sculpts in all the detail and texture based on the 100+ photos that the mobile app provides. This is a service that you will not find with any other scanning application or product. The final product is a fantastic representation of your animal that anyone would be proud to display.

Photo Replicas

Classic Racks Co. understands our technology and services have not been available until recently. If you were unfortunate enough to have lost a trophy in the past, not all hope is lost. If you have photos (even trail cam pics) of your animal, we can digitally construct your rack from scratch. While working with photos is not as accurate as having a 3D scan, CRC has implemented steps to ensure the most accurate replicas possible. Some of these steps include sending the customer 3D models and miniature replicas of the antlers for review before the final life-size replica is produced. Photo replicas have proven to be a huge part of our business and serve as a testament to how much people truly care about their trophies. We at CRC are honored to be able to reunite them.

Replica Process

Current antlers reproduction companies require the original antlers to make molds. This can pose a concern regarding potential damage from shipping along with expensive shipping costs, both to and from the replicator’s shop. Another issue with the current system is the timeline for shipping the antlers to the replicator. Anyone with a trophy animal who wants an “insurance policy” on it will need to send the antlers to the replicator soon after harvest. After the replica and original antlers are returned the customer must find a place to store the replica away from the original in case of fire, tornado, theft, etc. The cost for these services typically starts in the thousands of dollars and leaves you without your trophy for an extended period of time.
